Movie Review: Mary Poppins Returns
Just watched Mary Poppins returns, the sequel to the well-beloved children's movie Mary Poppins. Now before I start the review, I will assure you that I have not included any spoilers from the movie, because I want everyone to enjoy this movie as much as possible. Part of what I loved in the original, was the mixture of live action with the animations, remember Bert's dance with the Penguins in the original movie? Loved that!! Well this movie offers a lot more of that and you can see that the animation technology has come a long long way since then. It makes the whole thing all the more exciting and magical. London looks so lo lovely in this movie as well! (😉) Emily Blunt's performance as Mary Poppins was so fresh and original. She brought her own flair to this role and it was so perfectly balanced.
